So simple, yet so delicious!
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
Combine ingredients in mixing bowl and beat. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

Makes approximately ten pancakes. I usually double these amounts.

Also known as the "Chilver" brownies. These are super easy and completely from scratch - the girls know the recipe off by heart, but it will be nice to have it written down somewhere.
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 cup Flour
  • ½ cup Cocoa
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Combine first four ingredients in a mixing bowl, and beat well.  Add the flour and the cocoa, and beat again. Finally, add 1 cup of Chocolate Chips and mix again. Pour into 9x13'' pan and bake in preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 35 minutes.
